Policies
PAYMENT POLICY.
We will send you an invoice for the program fee with the contract. Half of the fee is due upon signing the contract, with the remainder due 30 days prior to the event date. The contract must be signed within 15 days of receiving it.
TRAVEL EXPENSES.
The hosting venue is responsible for paying for lodging and transportation, either air and/or ground that is involved in our speaking events. Basically, this includes two round-trip airfares (a ticket for Jason and either Kim or a JBiRD iNK representative) and any rental car costs, associated gas fees and a per diem of $50. For your convenience, these costs are included in the fee we quote you.
The JBiRD iNK representative plays a critical role in working with you to coordinate the details of the actual event. They are also responsible for organizing products sales, answering questions about Kim & Jason, and serving as a big help for Jason.
We will make air travel arrangements approximately one month prior to the event date, so we can take advantage of the lowest fares. If you have any special flight or travel arrangements that you would like to share with us, please let us know at least 6 weeks before the event. In special cases in which we are speaking more than once in a given region of the country (e.g. three consecutive events in the Dallas Fort-Worth area) we will book the tickets and divide the cost between each hosting venue. (See Group Booking)
LODGING.
For overnight stays, we will make any necessary hotel arrangements. We strive to find great rates in order to keep your investment affordable.
INTRODUCTIONS.
Ideally, it would be great if the person doing the introduction at the event is familiar with Kim & Jason. We will provide you with a speaker's introduction sheet to serve as an aid.
DISTRIBUTED MATERIALS.
At the event, the JBiRD iNK representative will make sure that attendees receive resource materials, which keeps them connected with the goings on of Kim & Jason and help to reinforce the message.
KIM & JASON PRODUCT SALES.
After hearing Jason speak, many people are eager to take home materials that help reinforce the powerful message, keeping its effect alive and ongoing. We ask that you provide an 8-foot table for us to display an assortment of products available for purchase before and after the presentation. After the talk, Jason will be able to meet and greet, sign items and answer questions.
BUILDING A WHOLE THEME.
To reinforce the theme of your meeting, we also have Escape Adulthood mugs, hats, t-shirts, golf balls and all kinds of goodies your audience will want. You can provide t-shirts, books, journals, artwork, and/or magazines for the members of your audience at discounted prices.

We’re happy to assist you in promotion. We provide you with an event checklist that serves as a marketing plan and all of the materials you need to follow-through with the plan. We will provide an attractive advertising flyer and poster that will accurately represent Jason and your event. We will be happy to provide you with bulletin or newsletter announcements. We will also write a press release and distribute it to local media outlets (newspapers, radio, TV, etc.) to raise awareness in your area. Be sure to to find out all of the many ways we work with you to help build word of mouth buzz in your community.
Staging Requests
We're really quite flexible. Not as flexible as Chinese acrobats, but we're able to work with whatever setup you've got. Here's what we prefer:
- Wireless headset or lavalier microphone (second choice: Wireless handheld microphone.) We'll need two of these if Kim and Jason are both speaking.
- LCD Projector and Screen (we'll bring the laptop.) The presentations include slide shows of colorful and humorous images and artwork that accentuate the message. For the best possible outcome, we highly recommend that the screen can be seen by all participants and the projector should be bright enough to be easily viewed with the stage lights on in the room.
- An A/V Cart for the Projector and a small side table.
That's it. A couple bottles of water would be nice, but it doesn't need to be imported from Timbuktu.
Group Booking
We like to share savings in travel with each of the groups in a particular geographical region. That means if we happen to be speaking to a group in your area, you can save hundreds of dollars off the speaking fee. When you call to ask about bringing us to your neck of the woods, we will be happy to work with you to build a block of groups in your region.
