Since 1937 June has been celebrated as National Dairy Month. Starting out as a way to help stores promote milk, it wasn’t long before all of the items in the dairy aisle were included.

As a part of my 4-H responsibilities, I gave demonstrations around the county of recipes using dairy products. I enjoyed preparing dishes that featured cheese - they were easy and popular with the groups to whom I was presenting.

Using blocks of cheese and grating while prepping was recommended but difficult to do. I think with our Mouse Cheese Grater it would have been easier and a lot more fun!

Reminiscent of the mice from the board game Mousetrap, the grater is hidden on the underside of the mouse.
The plastic shape captures all the grated cheese making it easy to use in your recipes or as an add-on for your favorite dishes.

Normally priced at $9.95 the Monday Madness price for June 16th is only $6.97!

Catch this mouse for fun addition to your kitchen tools!

The town where I went to college was known as the “Home of the ‘Barbs” because a spiked rail fence that would be the precursor to barbed wire was first displayed at the DeKalb County Fair.

Three DeKalb, IL residents saw this idea and created the indispensable fencing tool used around the world. Joseph Glidden, Jacob Haish, and Isaac Ellwood pooled their ingenuity and resources to begin a business that influenced ranching and farming though out the United States.

Though perhaps not as influential, our Barbed Wire TP is certainly indispensable for that dad who still dreams of being a cowboy or like my brother is a real cattleman.

Three-ply with a twist, this 200 sheet roll of toilet paper is a funny gift to give to any rough and tough guy. Adorned with three strands of Devil’s rope in the single square strand wire with four point coil barb (Patent # RE 6914, issued to Glidden on Feb. 18, 1876) creates a hilarious bathroom sight gag.

A cattle rustler’s steal at $7.95 any day, today’s Monday Madness price is $5.00 - move along and get yours today!

I loved my grandpa. I remember spending summers staying for long stretches with him and grandma. He had this cool wood working shop in the basement and I loved spending time down there watching him work. Often he was working on the fun little decorative wood projects he liked to make: from cats and tulips to plant stands and bookshelves.

Recently my dad and his brother have been contributing a book about the coal mining town where my grandpa was born. I’ve heard new stories and seen new photos too. In all that time I spent watching, and sometimes helping Grandpa, I never asked him any questions about his childhood or how he met grandma.

The Between Me & You Grandpa Journal is the kind of book I wish I’d had to guide me in asking some of those questions.

This hard cover spiral bound journal can be come a family treasure when filled with the stories of family history.

The everyday price for this precious gift you hope to get back is $15.95, today only for Monday Madness on June 2nd your price is $11.17.

Might I suggest you buy one today even if your grandpas aren’t with you anymore - you can have a great time getting the family to contribute with the stories they’ve heard through the years.

We also have another great Father’s Day journal with the Between Me and You Dad edition.

Kicking off National Boat Week, I offer you instructions for making a paper boat. What a fun childlike thing to float across a puddle or perhaps in your kitchen sink.

Another fun floater is our Map Dinghy Drain Stopper. Check out this little boat reminiscent of those paper boats.

Made of vinyl printed with map pattern, this dinghy is helpful in the tub. Attached to the boat is a chain and tub stopper, so instead of fishing around for your drain, you just have your boat pull up anchor.

You don’t pay a pirate’s ransom with a Monday Madness price of $6.97!
