I think paper airplanes are the perfect icon for fighting adultitis.
Nearly every single job involves paper of some type: secretaries and salespeople, teachers and librarians, nurses and doctors, musicians have sheet music and even construction workers have permits.
If anyone is caught in a rut, feeling overwhelmed or just down at work, you can simply grab a sheet of paper and fold a paper airplane. Then you send that airplane across your office, over the cube farm, down the hall or even out the window and let the adultitis fly away.
Now the more complex the airplane the more fun the show. I had a friend who could make a glider that only did loops - it was so fun. No matter how you threw it - sideways, upside down, gently, quickly - it always made loop de loops. You can’t feel like there’s no fun in the world when you can make a simple piece of paper do loop de loops!
So if you’re looking for inspiration for great paper airplanes look no further than our own Gliding Flight. It’s an instruction manual complete with flip animation of how to fold some way cool planes.
Gliding Flight is a return to paper airplane basics: one person, one piece of paper, and a few folds later, one airplane. Using a refreshingly inventive approach to designs and flying characteristics, you can make 20 original paper planes, such as the Stealth, the Wind Devil, the Glart, and the Skid Kid.
For only $16.95, this 160-page book proves you can still have fun with a simple sheet of paper and a little imagination.
I’ll leave you with this video that will get you folding right now and sending adultitis out the window:
