One of the best things about being a part of the Kim & Jason universe is the cool people I come to know. Usually I “meet” folks through email and rare phone calls, but once in a great while I actually get the pleasure of getting a face to face.
I got to meet bubbly Club K&J Member Amy and learn her story of how she got to know Kim & Jason through her adult best friend Mary.![]()
Mary gave me a signed copy of of the Friendship artwork when she asked me to be her Maid of Honor in her wedding. There’s so much special meaning just from the picture of Kim and Jason playing in the kitchen and always sticking together.
Such a sweet story and such an honor for Kim & Jason to play a role not only in this friendship but also a wedding (of course it did start with a sappy love story)! Amy goes on to tell how the “Remark”ables Prints became home decorating necessities for her kitchen:
At that point, I knew I wanted my kitchen to have a Kim & Jason theme that represents different aspects of my life instead of an empty kitchen wall.
Besides the Friendship print, I have two other prints up that have great meaning for me. The Heaven & Rain print represents my mom, reminding me that she is always with me. The Cooperation print reminds that I should always try to play nice with others and it reminds me of the Mary’s old kitchen, where I have a lot of great memories.
How cool is it that there is a “Kim & Jason” wall?
I feel delighted to be a part of making a connection to good friends and memories of loved ones. And it’s people like Mary and Amy that put a smile on my face and help me appreciate what a wonderful job I have as Chief Sales Servant.
Thanks for sharing your story (and pics) Amy!
Feel free to share your story about how Kim & Jason has impacted your life, how the Lemonade Stand has helped you Escape Adulthood or perhaps how something from the K&J Universe has simply made you laugh.

My mom is a great mom. She’s always been there for me - with straight-forward advice and loving support. Mom has always been my biggest advocate and champion.
I’d like to share a funny story about my mom’s positive attitude and confidence from when she first became a mom. After all the initial excitement after I was born, Mom was alone with me in her hospital room. She was examining my itty bitty fingers and toes and became quite pleased while reading the identification wristband:
“Baby girl Regis, A+, 01/13/73.”
Mom was so proud that she had gotten an A+ with me. The words “blood type” were completely overlooked. Mom knew she’d done a great job giving birth (and believed I was one grade A baby)!
As far as I’m concerned my mom has set the curve! If I was eligible I would totally enter my mom into the Bestest Mom contest. Since I can’t, I guess I’ll have to come up with another way to tell her how much she means and how great I think she is as my mom.
Buying gifts for babies can be the simplest or most difficult task. Some folks excitedly go for toys - like the ever-popular stuffed animals of various sizes and softness. People sometimes like to feel they are assisting the new family - buying stacks of diapers and Desitin. And there are friends who want to contribute to intellectual and cultural development - they invest in “Flashcards for the First Year,” “Tchaikovsky for Toddlers,” or “MC Escher Building Blocks.” Personally, I most often find myself drawn to things like tiny jean overalls and mini-hoodies and fuzzy footie pajamas.
Friends of mine welcomed a precious little girl in January. I was happy to be able to pick out some fun clothes for her from the Lemonade Stand.
I like the Diva Bib for two reasons outside the cuteness factor: 1) the length is such that a little one won’t outgrow it in the first month and 2) it has a double snap at the neck which makes it a harder for little hands to grab and remove while you’re in the middle of feeding her mashed sweet potato.
As for the Someday I’ll Demand a Pony Outfit, the message made me chuckle; that it’s a nice long-sleeve shirt with matching black pants is a bonus.
There is something sweet about little girls and pink. And I have to say that I think Brennan makes an adorable model* for this cute clothing - check out all the great snapsuits, bibs, and toddler tees along with other great baby gifts at the Lemonade Stand Baby Department.
*Special thanks to Kellie for the photos!

As your sugar buzz wears off, you find yourself searching through the tangled mass of plastic grass at the bottom of your flourescent yellow basket hoping against hope that you’ll find something of
worth beyond jelly beans and marshmallow bunnies.
If the Easter Bunny didn’t bring you a giant customized basket filled with all the goodies you’d been waiting for since December, it might be time to take the bunny by the ears and fill your own!
Here’s a list of 8 things I have picked out for my Easter basket!
52 Things to Try Once in Your Life - Filled with the hope and energy of spring, I just want to do cool new things!
Orange Slices - I’ve shared my love of our new candy before, but these are first on my list of candy I was convinced was good for me (it’s shaped like fruit!).
Edward Scissors - Little known fact, I used to trace my school supplies, among them a pair of scissors, and add a face and arms to make them robots.
Salt & Playtime Shakers - Gotta have some fun while fixing those hard boiled eggs perfectly.
Yoga for Chickens - Forget wind-up chicks, this book is all about unwinding.
Backyard Breeze Candle - I’m so ready for the flowers to be blooming and lilacs are my absolute favorites!
Service Remarkables Print - It must be memories of Spring Breaks spent on Habitat for Humanity work trips, because this print is perfect for my Easter basket.
Hav’It Party Tongs - Had to have a fun rabbit item on the list and this totally qualifies!
Stop by the Lemonade Stand and order using the coupon code PEEPS and save $5.00 off your order of $20.00 or more!

I’m sorry.
I went on vacation and didn’t keep up my end of the conversation when it came to posting here. I’ll do better in the future.
I’ve been back for a week, but it seems that I didn’t fully come back from vacation. It won’t happen again.
I will say I had a good time.
I loved my vacation, but I think I let myself get caught in post-vacation Adultitis. You know, where you’re stuck remembering how vacation was, so you can’t get focused and get stuff done now that you’re back? Sound familiar?
I had a nice time.
Dipped my feet in the ocean, despite it being Northern California in March.

Hiked with my sisters and laughed at my brother being carried into the ocean by his girlfriend because he didn’t want to take off his cowboy boots.
Saw some awesome ocean views along Highway 1.
It was a wonderful trip. I enjoyed time spent with family. But I didn’t like the case of post-vacation Adultitis I contracted. I feel better now and I believe I’ll be better about our conversation from now on, too - I think I’ll plan more blogging time into my next vacation. I can’t think of a better way to keep focused on fighting Adultitis!
Thanks for reading!
