The folks at the US Post Offices in Madison are excellent - I’ve had some fun interactions (see Escape Plan Challenge #2 - find my story in the comments) that have cemented great relationships. There are a couple people I see on a regular basis and recently each of them commented on the outside of our order packages, “People must really like getting stuff from you guys.” and “I love the comic stickers and labels, do your customers appreciate them?”

So I decided I to give you a one question pop quiz. All you have to do is give me feedback on our order packaging inside and out. I’m going to list five things that I would love to have you rate most important down to least important. Don’t be shy - I always like to hear what you think.

Every one who participates - either by commenting below or via email will be entered to win a gift certificate to the Lemonade Stand.

Haven’t purchased anything from the Lemonade Stand yet? I think you’re missing out - check out these daily deals and cool new stuff. I bet you find a combination you can’t resist.

Here are five order packaging things to rank:

  • Comic Strip Label
  • Handwritten Address Label
  • Coupon for Next Order
  • Lemon Scent
  • Yellow Tissue

Let me know what is most important (#1) and least important (#5) and if you could, jot a note as to why. Thank you in advance - I really appreciate it!

For me, the lemon scent is the most fun, as it springs forth like it’s from beyond the box.

Next, the comic strip label is nifty. Makes me smile.

The handwritten address label is next to be noticed, and it is a great touch that shows someone (you, Kim and Jason) care a lot.

The coupon for next time is nice. Not necessary, but nice. I don’t order all that often, or this would probably rank higher.

The yellow tissue paper I could take or leave. I’d personally prefer bubble wrap, because it would be fun to pop! Mix it up with big bubbles and little ones. Pop - pop - pop.

Thanks for the feedback Phil! I would love to use bubble wrap - I just gotta find some yellow stuff in keeping with the Lemonade Stand theme :) It’s such a great stress relief tool - it would certainly fit our Adultitis fighting mission!

Wow, Jenna, ranking these is HARD! I feel like I am in school!
Each one of them are what make getting a Lemonade Stand package so fun :)
The only thing I *might* be able to do without is the yellow tissue - I honestly never tied it to the Lemonade Stand *blush*
Love the idea of bubble wrap!

Hmmm… here is my list in order:

1. Comic Strip Label — I love the idea that I get a “bonus” strip in the mail, and that there is something that makes me smile on the outside of the box.

2. Handwritten Address Label — a nice personalized touch that makes me feel special.

3. Yellow Tissue — it’s like sunshine in a box! How can you /not/ like yellow tissue?

4. Coupon for Next Order — ehhh… it’s kind of a standard “please order again” Marketing thing. (I’m in Marketing, so I can’t knock this one too much…)

5. Lemon Scent — my nose is a little sensitive, that’s why this one is last. It’s not a bad idea, I just wonder how it works! :-)

I hope that this helps!

1.Comic Strip Label–really cute and reminds me of something from when I was a little kid (can’t quite remember, but it’s there.)

2.Handwritten Address Label–nice to know that there are actual people who put the package together.

3. Yellow Tissue–It’s just too cute

4. Coupon for Next Order–Always nice to get coupons!!!

5.Lemon Scent–I never noticed it before, but I will pay special attention to looking/smelling for that on my next order.

1. Comic Label - I love Kim & Jason comics so to get them on the outside of the package is just fantastic!

2. Handwritten address - it shows you really care. Hardly any one seems to take the time to handwrite address anymore. Now you just get labels.

3. Coupons - Love it! It gives me a reason to buy more stuff from you guys.

4. Lemon Scent - It makes the package smell nice and reminds me of scratch and sniff stickers I used to collect.

5. Yellow Tissue - I like it. It’s colorful but sorry, it’s just tissue paper to me.

Awesome feedback - thank you!

Amanda - it is that “Back to School” time of year ;)

Kermitfan - “sunshine in a box” -that may give poor last place tissue some bonus points

Meredith - maybe by the time your box gets to AZ the lemony scent is gone :( I’ll have to work on that!

Lea - Confession: I worry that because I don’t have great penmanship that the handwritten label isn’t nice enough but I definitely think about each person while I’m scribbling out the address.
