Happy Mother’s Day to all the maternal folks in the Kim & Jason Universe! I was given the difficult task of judging the essays submitted for our Bestest Mom Ever contest. I really enjoyed reading how much people love their Moms. And I was reminded of all the awesome things my mom has done for me throughout the years. Thanks Mom!

It was very difficult to choose between our top two creative submissions. So I decided since one made me chuckle and one brought a tear to my eye, they are both winners!

So without further ado, the winner for Bestest Mom Ever - Comedic Edition is:

Here is an exerpt from the poem he wrote:

My wife (mom) hugs, cures, dances, drives,
cooks, laughs, cleans, & jives,
wipes, plants, builds, & washes,
helps me put on my galoshes.

Best of all she knows me better
than all others - to the letter.
Because of this I have no qualms
Proclaming loudly - SHE’S MY MOM!!!

Though this whole thing’s not too clever,
our mom’s still the bestest ever!

I was very impressed with the effort our two winners put into expressing how great their moms are. Their moms will be rewarded with Lemonade Stand gift certificates - and so will they!
